JSC YuGK in 2020-2202 implemented an investment project for 18 billion rubles in the Verkhneuralsk region for the construction of a mining and processing plant, consisting of a quarry for the extraction of gold ore and a gold recovery plant. The ore of the Kurasan deposit (reserves of 80 tons of gold, 250 tons of silver) is enriched by heap leaching, which makes it possible to bring poor deposits into operation with minimal intrusion into the natural environment. The construction of a gold recovery plant will increase the productivity up to 3 million tons per year, while the recovery of the valuable component will increase from 51% to 80%. 400 new jobs has been created.
