Greenhouse production
South Urals is highly prominent in terms of growing vegetables in greenhouses. In 2021, producers collected 43.5 thousand tons of vegetables, including 33.2 thousand tons of greenhouse vegetables.

Every year, the Chelyabinsk region introduces more previously uncultivated arable land in use.
